Canoe Loading Calculator
Calculate optimal weight distribution in a canoe for stability and trim.
Maximum weight capacity
How We Calculate This
Load Calculation
Total load = Bow paddler + Stern paddler + Gear weight
Weight Distribution
Gear is distributed to balance the weight difference between paddlers. If the stern paddler is heavier, more gear goes forward, and vice versa. The goal is approximately equal bow and stern loads for level trim.
